I give up.  I have not received a phone call or an email for technical support.  That really is unacceptable.

I have made the difficult decision of transferring my domain out of 50Webs and into another registrar.  I didn't have any other choice.

For those who are left here, I hope you can resolve any issues you may have.  Good luck.

There doesn't seem to be any technical support coming from 50Webs.
That really is too bad.

Well, it's been a whole week and I haven't gotten any response from 50Webs technical support yet.
What's going on here?

Hmm....Looking at the 10 most active members in these support forums (fora), I noticed a worrisome pattern: they are all gone!  Sad
None of them have posted in about a year or more !

Here are the top 5 most active support individuals from 50Webs:
1. sawanbanna   7607 posts.  Last active:  February 25, 2012  !!
2. XYLEM            7440 posts.  Last active:  December 24, 2011  !!
3. Gideon           6596 posts.  Last active:  April 07, 2012  !!

Wow.  Something is going on here.
It seems that 50Webs does not provide technical support anymore !?

There's a problem with the system, but there's no one listening.
I posted a question (just below this post) for several days, but I got no response.
I sent emails and also sent a request via "contact us", but still no response.
What's going on?
Having no technical support of any kind is just unacceptable.
I hope I'm wrong, but if this is really how it is, you're forcing me to have to
cancel my account with 50Webs and transfer my domain somewhere else.

Well, I haven't had any responses yet.  This is both, frustrating and worrisome.  I'm not sure what's happening to 50webs support.

I even tried changing the MX records in my domain (jpg-tech.com) to have mail handled by an external (third party) server, but that doesn't seem to work either.  The changes are saved and they show in the DNS settings, but the mail is still handled by 50webs and not the external third party.

I'm no expert, but I also noticed that my domain also has a CNAME pointing to cdn30.50webs.com .  My guess is that the CNAME is resolving my domain to 50webs first, which would then ignore the MX records I added.  Can I remove that CNAME?  How?  Is there a better solution?

I really need to have my mail forwarded to a different location.  Hopefully soon.  Is there anyone here that can help with this?

Hmm... something's is happening here.
Support had always been pretty good on these forums (fora).
User "Noobos" used to be very active in the past and served as a bridge between the forum and the support team.
However, I'm looking around here, and I see that Noobos hasn't posted in about a year and there has been no real support here since! 
And that's true for both the "Free Plan" forum and the "Paid Plans" forum.   Now I'm concerned!
I even sent an email to the support group and sent a direct message to Noobos, but haven't received a reply yet.

What's going on?  Is 50Webs having problems?  Can we still count of 50Webs to provide quality service and support?

I hate to say this, but if I can't resolve this issue, they're going to force me to have to transfer my domain elsewhere.  I don't really want to do that, but I'm stuck here, with no way to resolve the problem!   Sad

Please, can someone from support address this issue?  Anyone out there?

Hi.  I currently have a few mailboxes in my account and I have them all forwarded to a personal email account I have.  That works fine, and has been working like that for a while.  No problem.

However, I'm now trying to change the forwarding rule, so that it forwards the emails to a different destination, but I'm not able to do it.  When I try to add a new forwarding rule, I get the error: "There was a problem applying the forwarding settings to the selected mailbox. Please try again in a few minutes or contact the support team."

I even tried removing one of the current forwarding rules that I've had for a while, but I get a similar error:  "There was a problem removing the forwarding settings to the selected mailbox. Please try again in a few minutes or contact the support team."

I've tried this several times, but I keep getting the same errors.  Please help.

Hi.  I'm trying to create a new mailbox in my account, but I'm getting this error:
   "There was a problem creating a new mailbox.  Please try again in a few minutes or contact the support team."

I've tried for a few hours now, but still get the same message.  Can someone please help me with this?

Hi.  I have had a domain hosted under the free hosting plan for a while.  Within that domain, I have several email addresses and, I am able to automatically forward those emails to other email accounts.  I'm now considering transferring another domain I have, and add it to the same free hosting plan here.  My question is:  will I be able to establish email forwards under that new domain in the same way that I'm doing with my first domain?

I would think that I can, but what's confusing me is that the current offering from 50Webs for the free plan does not seem to include email forwards.  Is that new?  I can do it in my account.  Will I be able to continue using my forwards?

The problem has been corrected, so you may close this issue.  But the situation was one of some concern.

I agree with you that my internet service provider (AT&T) was the one filtering the forwards from 50webs.  However, the big question I had for 50Webs was "why?".  A major national ISP (AT&T) decided to block the mail from 50webs "for abuse".  Maybe it was just a mistake from AT&T (wouldn't surprise me).  However, it didn't look good for 50webs, so I wanted to let you know, so 50webs would have a chance to clarify this with AT&T, get to the bottom of it, and avoid a potentially bigger problem.

In the end, the whole thing seems to be a non-event.  The problem has been corrected.  I checked it today and AT&T is not blocking the forwards any more.  I'm not sure what changed, but, at least today, it all seems to be working correctly.
