Do you see this row ?

2008   May   96.22 %   Average   3   1688 mins

Anyone remember such downtime ?

I have contact them many times, but no success.
Probably they put this duration in our review, because otherwise we will enter in their top 10

I think i figured it out, it was when 50webs was under DDoS attack.
Here are the announcements you posted.

Well, thats not a problem, 50webs is still the best host.

There were no down times in 2007.

I have another question, i was reading the tos here(http://50webs.com/legal/terms_paid.html)

I couldn't get some of this, does this mean we are not allowed to use the words in quotes in our site, thanks

kamranrocksit : no, the posts with the flood attack was from 2007 feb march, the down time was 'detected' before 3mo (2008 may, for 28h period, check the table) right after I have posted the review of this site in the forum.
BTW these attacks doesn't realize downtime.

opps, my mistake..

I have an another question, how do some websites have their own dns servers, like 50webs.com has
DNS1.50WEBS.COM
DNS2.50WEBS.COM

is it possible to get my website its own dns servers?

Unfortunately unless you have your own server or vps you can't do that.

I also have my own wooo.  :-D

ns1.myxcp.net
ns2.myxcp.net

But it doesn't really matter because less than 1% of visitors would even know how to find the name servers in use and even less than that 0.0001% would actually bother to check

50Webs has such good uptime because they do not allow server side scripting.

That's great news. I'm just planning to upgrade to paid plan. I don't need many features,  only care about speed and reliability.  I've been using 50webs for a month and so far, everything's great, but before upgrading I'd like to hear some feedback from the paid users here. Just convince me.  :-)

I don't actually use 50webs paid plan anymore but I do have one.

I only moved away because I wanted to play about with dedicated servers though..

If you would like to 'road test' using my paid plan you can do Ky, just let me know  Cool

In the mean time...A download test you can run.

I get 1.28MiB/s peak which is quite good for shared hosting over 200ms away from me.

That is a news. Most servers offer you 99.99 percent uptime but they dont convert. 100 percent up time is just perfect

The 50webs score is especially good if it is taking into account free plan.
