Hi, I have a client that I'm designing a website for. His website includes a flash music player embedded through Live365. The player is included in the design and thus appears on all pages.

The problem my client has is that when viewing the site on a mobile device (ie iphone, smart phone, ipad) every time you load a new page the "please install adobe 10" warning pops up.

My question, is there a way I can hide the Embed code if the browser sees that flash is not installed so that the warnings will not pop up?

yes you can use image or text to show them if they don't have flash player installed...

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash data="http://www.url/to/movie.swf"  width="xxx" height="xxx">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.url/to/movie.swf" />
<img src="you_cannot_view_this_movie.gif"  width="xxx" height="xxx" alt="" />
</object>

use that html code to embed your flash movie...if they can't view the movie then they should see the image or test you added above...

thanks for the quick reply Sawanbanna. My problem is that Live365 uses javascript to call the player. I should of mentioned this in my first post.

Heres the code to embed the player

Code:
<div id="radio">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://client.rodriguez-designs.com/tigerheat/css/mini.css">
<script language="JavaScript">
<!-- start scripting

var gVersion = "100.0.0.0";

// end scripting -->
</script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/cookiemonster.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/version.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/clientdetect.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/vb_sniff_lite.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/hosts.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/player.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.live365.com/scripts/customplayer.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript">
<!-- start scripting

/*** REQUIRED PARAMETERS ***/
station_broadcaster = 'tigerheat'; // DJ name
station_id = 348024; // station numeric ID
stream_id = 1354086; // stream numeric ID

/*** OPTIONAL PARAMETERS ***/ // CSS and images
local_css = 'http://client.rodriguez-designs.com/tigerheat/css/pls.css'; // CSS URL
imageDir = 'http://client.rodriguez-designs.com/tigerheat/images/'; // Button images URL

gPLSWidth = 300; // Width of Playlist iframe in pixels
gPLSHeight = 80; // Height of Playlist iframe in pixels
gPlayerColor = '#000000'; // Color of visible embedded player in #RRGGBB

// end scripting -->
</script>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr><td valign="top">
<div style="float:left;">
<script language="JavaScript">
<!-- start scripting
DrawPLS("mode=1"); // Draw PLS track metadata
// end scripting -->
</script>
</div>
</td><td>
<div style="text-align:center;">
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<form name="controls">

// end scripting -->

umh...I don't think you can do anything on your end then...all setting and code modifications are done on Live365 side...everything is using js to control flash player...not sure if there is any way to modify anything on your end...I will look into that if there is anyway we can add do, but so far everything is requested from live365 like playlist or flash player list...

I go to web pages that expect the flashplayer to use decently, they never encumbrance. What is the peck? I've downloaded FP so many nowadays now from the Adobe website. Anyone hold any line what to do?

I'm just getting started with Flash/Action script 3.0 for game design, and I have a problem. I am using a book called "Learning Action script 3.0" and it gave me some code to input.It is very simple code, but I am unable to preview it. How do you preview the output from the Trace function?
