Why do I need a VPN
In General, You have already realized that the VPN is needed to improve security on the Internet. But, why specifically? What do we, simple honest people, hide and why hide from someone in the network?

There are three most common reasons for using a VPN.

First, the technology prevents other sites from collecting information about you. Today, almost every second site tracks and collects information about You. When you go to a page, Your location is immediately recorded there. Both online and geographical (at least-Your country and locality). Using this information, sites will try to sell You something, to impose. This is especially true for online stores.

In addition, just when you open a site, Your gender and approximate age can be determined. And in some cases-even a name and some personal information. Further more. Some sites may share information about us with other sites. You may have already encountered a situation where you enter a site for the first time, and there is a greeting for You by name and a list of individual offers. Here they are brazen marketing spies in action.

To avoid this kind of Intrusive tracking, we can use a VPN. And pretend to be, for example, not Russians from Voronezh, but Japanese. Tomorrow-Bulgarians. And then the Mexicans. Then, no site will know who you really Are or where you came from.

Programs offering vpn connection for free have a higher rating. Test modes usually last from a few days to a month, but there are also unlimited time offers. Using completely free services is not recommended. They rarely provide a reliable level of connectivity.

I cannot stress the importance of reading the VPN privacy policy before downloading it to your device. Pay attention to red flags such as agreements with third parties or permitted exchange of data with marketing partners. Make sure that there is a clear explanation of the prohibition of logging policies.

A quick example: you buy a subscription to a popular VPN service and download an app for your Mac or PC. After setting up your account, you click the connect button. At the moment, you don't do anything, but the VPN checks who you are and whether you have access to their servers. After confirming this, a tunnel is created between you and the server. All your activity passes through this tunnel when you connect to a server that does not belong to your provider. The VPN will assign a new IP address from its server in, say, Atlanta, Georgia, even if you are in Westchester, new York.

All your data is secure and your Internet activity is not tracked. This is great if you are worried about your privacy or are using an unsecured public WiFi connection. In the US, a VPN is a great solution for your security. This is not necessary, but it is a viable alternative to protect your privacy.

Using an open and insecure network without a VPN is not safe, because in this case you constantly risk losing passwords or sensitive data by intercepting insecure traffic by third parties. In principle, the average user may have nothing to hide, but in the online business, VPN can not do without.

The first problem is related to virtual private networking is the leaking of traffic. That is, the traffic that should be transmitted through the VPN connection in encrypted form, gets into the network in open form. This scenario is not the result of an error in the VPN server or client.
