To quick-fix Microphone Not Working Windows 10 , you should go through the following troubleshooting steps:
•         First of all, you need to reach out to the ‘Start’ menu.
•         Now, you should open the Settings and then go to the ‘Privacy Settings’ option.
•         Here, you will come across the ‘Microphone’ option.
•         Just select it and then choose the ‘Change’ option.
•         Hereafter, you also need to turn the microphone on for your Windows 10 device.
Doing so will surely help you to resolve such problems and also allows you access your microphone flawlessly.

Run device manager and right click on Sound, video and game controllers.
Select Realtek as default device controller.
Make sure you are connected to the internet click on update driver and select search online option.
Restart your PC and run the recording test again.
In case the problem still persists, try installing the drivers ​manually from Realtek

I just love windows 10 and its productivity, but the microphone broke down is bad, but I know how to help you, I personally helped with the soldering iron with which I connected all the contacts and it still works for me, I took the soldering iron here https://solderingironguide.com/blog/how-to-use-flux-when-soldering-electronics/
