well, adsense is the largest and most famous of the text ad services, and it's from google, so the good thing is that you'll probably get paid if you obey the rules and it probably won't disappear over night. you'll also have access to a larger pool of ads so your page is more likely to display relevant ads.

minuses against google adsense is that the minimum payout amount is high. you need to accumulate a balance of 100 dollars US for them to pay you. and like all ad services if they even think that you are cheating your account is gone for good.

personally i've been using adsense for more than a year. i've made a few hundred bucks so far, but not nearly enough to say make a living off the ads. most sites simply don't have the traffic to earn anything significant from adsense. i get 150 visitors and 400+ pageloads a day and i only make a bit over a dollar per day. even though, adsense is still a good supplementary source of income. looking forward to my next cheque, which i should get real soon.

there are ads on most of my pages. they are blended in of course (seems to work better) but they should still be pretty obvious.

nah, he didn't do anything. i got zilch in this period of time. just in case though, clicking people's ads repeatily "just for fun" is a bad practice. i know a guy from some other forum who go permanently banned from adsense because some other guy posted in somewhere that he repeatily clicked the banned guy's site.

I ever think to register it. But i'm very confusing, whether or not the Google Adsense need to pay for it or not. In other word is it a free service? :?:

here's some basic info to clear things up: google has two programs. one called adwords, the other adsense. adwords is the "other side" of adsense. it is the program where companies pay to have their ads displayed. these advertisers pay a certain amount for each clickthrough to their site. adsense is for the people, known as publishers, who want to put google ads on their sites and each click on the ads earns them certain amount of money. so basically how google advertising work is that they charge the advertisers for a certain amount, skim some off the top and then pay the rest to the publishers. nobody other than google people knows how the payout works, but rumours are something like 30-40% of what advertisers pay goes to google and the rest goes to the publisher.
