Now I dont have to go through the process of deleting and re-uploading my files anymore when I update them
Thanks a TON! :-D
:-D OH BOY, Thanks, now I'm really glad I found my way here!! I only wish I had arrived sooner...
That is exactly the same thing I've been dealing with, EW, on the 'other' server I've recently been using. I was finding all manner of DUPLICATES of my html files in the storage space every time I'd just innocently go about FTP'ing an updated copy of something, or worse, updated copies of everything... GGRRR. What a MESS.
Eventually I taught myself to delete a file, or many files, during each update. Sometimes even that didn't work, the stoopid server would keep picking up the OLD version of a page... I called it a 'ghosting effect,' showing something that was no longer there, or wasn't supposed to be anyway... Finally, I learned that I had to delete the entire contents of the html folder AND the folder itself, then start all over again FTP'ing the 'correct' version of the folder from my own hard drive.
So we don't have to worry anymore about all of those kind of troubles here?? Kewl Beans.
