I have a slight problem that I don't understand.  Help an explanation is appreciated.

I currently have a domain registered with GoDaddy.com, of which is pointed to DNS.50WEB.NET (my paid account).  In my Hosted Domains menu, the Name Server is set, with the green check mark.

However, my Account Usage (Left hand column) it shows 1 domain in use, and 2 sub-domains in use (I have created only one sub-domain for the domain).  The other problem is that the domain is also showing up as a Sub-Domain in the Sub-Domain Manager, and NOT in the Domain Manager.

Once again, the DNS is set correctly (I think).

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing wrong here,
look in your Domain and Subdomain manager sections with all available URLs.

So, even though I own the domain and have its DNS pointed to the DNS 50WEBS.NET servers I have to pay $15 to have the domain transferred? This must be the case because there are no options to transfer the domain free. The domain does not transfer when I unlock it.

The Domain is not showing up in the Domain Manager, but only in the Hosted Domain Manager and in the Sub-Domain Manager.

I'm really new at this.  Please have patience.

One of the problems is that in the Domain Manager, it's not giving me the option to transfer, but only to purchase/transfer at $15.  Is this correct?

These are my domain setting from my GoDaddy.com account:

Quote
citypcservice.com
DNS1.50WEBS.NET
DNS2.50WEBS.NET

Status:   Active
Protection:   Inactive
Locked:   Unlocked
Registered:   7/3/2007
Expires On:   7/4/2008
Auto Renews:   On
Registration Type:   Public
Whois Type:   Standard
CashParking:   Disabled
Authorization Code:   Send by Email
Name Servers: (Last Update 7/3/2007)
DNS1.50WEBS.NET
DNS2.50WEBS.NET

Total DNS: (Not hosted here)
Forwarding: Domain is not forwarded.

I'm trying to send it here to 50Webs.  In my CP it does show up in the Hosted Domain Manager, but not in the Domain Manager.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what my 50Webs Account Usage shows:

Quote

This is what my Sub-Domain manager shows:

1 forums.citypcservice.com
2 www.citypcservice.com

This is what my Domain Manager shows:

Your domain is hosted fine. when I visit http://www.citypcservice.com/ i get data from 50webs server. Youy simply need to upload the files into the directory via ftp or the file manager.

The confusion you have with the control panel can be explained.

Firstl the subdomains used is 2 because the "www." counts as one subdomain for the domain citypcservice.com. and the forum subdomain also. Totaling 2, which it says.

Domain manager is intended for domains purchased with 50webs.
Hosted domains is where you can see your domain purchased with godaddy.

As you can see:

So everything is ok as far as i can tell. So now all you have to do is upload your content via FTP or file manager.

Im on msn now so u can add me if u need more help. (tech[at]compcentral [dot]net

well, to be honor with you, all "home folders" you use on your website, no matter they are first level or second level or third or so on...they will be counted as "Sub-domain" in "Subdomain Manager" so there is nothing wrong with that since it's how 50Webs setup their CP and many hosts using the same way.

This is how it works, when you first sign up with 50webs paid account with domain for example www.citypcservice.com you will automatically got 2 subdomain under your account.
1) www.citypcservice.com
2) citypcservice.50webs.net

as "citypcservice" is user name of the account...if you use different name, then the you.50webs.net will be created.

So you will be automatically access your site via www.citypcservice.com and http://citypcservice.50webs.net

if you don't want citypcservice.50webs.net then it's simple, just delete it! under "subdomain manager" so you will be happy with only www.citypcservice.com

and your domain www.citypcservice.com is working perfectly without any problems at all right now...
