Hi Peter,
The information we have had back states that the website is being routed via the webblocker platform because the website hosting hosts other sites that are listed on the IWF list.
This in itself isn't an issue, the website isn't listed on the IWF (Internet
Watch Foundation) list and therefore the requests for it shouldn't be
filtered by the webblocker caches. However, it looks like the hosting
company (50webs.com) have blocked the caches - perhaps because they are seeing too many requests from these IP addresses.
If the hosting company stop blocking the webblocker platform, you will have access to the legit sites they host however because they are still listed on the IWF list, they will still be routed via webblocker so they should also be removing the listed content.
I have asked if our network team can liaise with 50webs, but in the mean
time you may want to try contacting them too.

My ISP is Virginmedia and I cannot see my various 50webs pages. I've just tried via Talktalk and no response either. So either the Virginmedia "problem" is more widespread or there may be an issue with my account at 50webs.

Hi Everyone
you know on the last may i say three last posts, it all comes back to my arguement, all 4 companies including 50webs, liquidnet, peer1 and Virgin media, are acting like school kids in a playground, blaming each other oh its his problem not mine.
What i would like is someone to act professional here and sort this is out because this a joke, to be honest i dont care who and hows and whens to get this solved, i would loved to see some results rather than having each and everyone of you putting the problem to solved on each other its very unprofessional here.

I wanted to summarise where we are with this.
Many people in the UK are prevented from accessing sites hosted on the 50webs free plan.
This is because a url hosted on the ip address used by the server for the free plan ( 66.40.56.10 ) is on the Internet Watch Foundation list used by UK based ISP's to disable access to child I'm a SPAMMER, remove my post!!! sites.
If you access a 50 webs paid plan there are 5 hops in virgin/NTL/telewest/blueyonder territory.
If you acess a 50 webs free plan there are 7 hops in virgin/ntl/telewest/blueyonder territory
the extra hops seen to always include 62.30.0.204 | wb7301a.network.virginmedia.net
searching google for this ip

The case is clean now. Your ISP network was blocked one side access to our hosting service. As we suspect, they have filtered the connection to hop in peer1 network.
If they contact us with exact complain, for content hosted on 50Webs, we will clean the abuse ASAP. BTW probably this content was already reported and removed.
Nothing else we can do by our side.

Ok
This is getting very odd now, whats with IWF here on that Ip address for 50webs server, If it is on IWF List to be blocked then can i ask the site admin, what content cause this because IWF only get involved if it sexual to children or abuse messages to be possible seen unfit and damaging to children.
And to be honest i believe its 50webs duty now to contact IWF to find out why, or is it a walk of shame to you to do this.

Hi,
My problem is now resolved, I can now access websites on the 50 webs free plan.
I attach traceroutes port 80 showing the routing is still different on the two plans, traceroutes for the free plan still take more hops inside virginmedia and via 62.30.0.204 wb7301a.network.virginmedia.net which appears to relate to IP's linked to the IWF list.
Thank you to everybody who worked on this. Here's hoping it stays fixed.

I have been getting the following error message all day when trying to connect to my web site, http://burtonweather.50webs.com/paulsweather.htm
Network Error (tcp_error)
A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.
For assistance, contact your network support team.
The site was working ok yesterday, but could not access members and control panel area, got the same error message above. Can now access control panel, very strange!!

Unable to access my site www.harlownaps.co.uk either for the last 24 hours, can however access my control panel and this forum, I have two ISP's Virgin and Sky..hard to believe they are both at fault.

Both are UK ISPs. There is no problem for any ISP outside the UK.
